TRADITIONAL
As the name implies, traditional door styles have a very classic look and feel. They are usually constructed of wood or wood veneer and work well with almost any finish.
CONTEMPORARY
Contemporary door styles are usually found on frameless cabinets, often referred to as European cabinets. A contemporary look kitchen usually contains sleek, simple and elegant lines designed to complement and contrast against stainless steel, glass, and the burnish of granite countertops.
WOOD RAISED PANEL
Raised panel doors offer the most traditional style. They feature a raised area in the middle of the center panel, as the name implies. Sometimes this panel is enhanced with accent molding around the perimeter of the center section.
We offer a wide variety of solid wood raised panel doors in White Birch, Walnut, Hard Rock Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Red Oak, Lyptus, Red Birch, White Oak, Hickory and Alder.
WOORD RECESSED PANEL
Recessed panel doors can take on either a traditional or contemporary look. As the name implies, the middle portion of the door is recessed. This design can also be enhanced with accent molding around the perimeter of the center section.
We offer a wide variety of solid wood raised panel doors available in White Birch, Walnut, Hard Rock Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Red Oak, Lyptus, Red Birch, White Oak, Hickory and Alder
WOOD VENEER
Veneer is a very thin layer of finely grained wood, glued to a base material. We offer an extensive selection of wood veneer doors in White Birch, Walnut, Hard Rock Maple, Cherry, Mahogany, Red Oak, Red Birch, White Oak, and Alder.
Because only a small portion of wood is needed to create a veneer, exotic and unusual species like Zebrawood, Curly Tiger Maple, Bamboo, and Anegre are also available. These species would otherwise be cost prohibitive to procure, if available at all, as a solid wood door.
PLASTIC LAMINATE
Laminate doors are popular for their durability, affordability, and the myriad choices available. Laminates are affixed to a substrate base material using non-toxic glue and pressure. They come in an array of solids, wood grains, and patterns.
THERMOFOIL
A practical alternative to wood doors, Thermofoil consists of a thin decorative vinyl-compound sheet that is molded directly to the cabinet surface using heat and adhesive. Thermofoil looks similar to paint but does not fade, crack, or discolor and it’s very easy to clean.
METALS AND GLASS
Cabinet doors and door fronts are also available in stainless steel, aluminum, and glass. Aluminum doors often include a glass center panel, available in a number of styles including clear, smoked, basket weave, back painted, and etched. Aluminum tambour doors have also become quite popular. This clean and efficient door style resembles a roll top desk. Most doors are available with hardware mechanisms that allow them to open in the traditional vertical manner as well as lift and stay lift, bi-fold, and sliding.
